Merry Beltane!

yinshubackupto all who celebrate the lovely festival this time of year, I have a quick question:
are there any sort of traditional beltane foods/ drinks (that dont involve alchohol)?
what are your favorites?
I was thinking fiery spicy foods might be good...
And also, a major disappointment in humanity came my way today.... I can't believe there are people in my generation that still hold such useless, divisive and silly notions...shame on them...and their parents.... grrrr:

in other, better news, in the past 3 days, I have dissolved many of my financial obstacles, paid my bills, got my tax refund check, and settled a few up-in-the-air administrative matters. Yay! I will be able to stay in school next year. Now if I could just take care of my laundry pile and clean my room.... *sound of whip cracking* *goes back to work*

I've always associated very sweet, rich foods with Beltaine. But hot and spicy sounds appropriate too! Hmmm...wonder what Bel thinks of a good curry? *grin*
Very disturbing and saddening news article, though! I can't believe young people still act that way! However, it's a good thing that they're now in the minority! *evil grin*
VERY glad you got all that administrative crap taken care of! Been thinking about you in that regard of late.
