To MTV, CBS, the NFL, the FCC and all those "offended" viewers out there that you all keep kissing ass to, I just want to say:

It's only.
a freaking.
boob.

Good goddess, people! Have you all forgotten your own mothers?
if we're soooooooooooo twisted as a culture that we can't handle seeing a woman's breast on television, then may She help us all.
AHHHH no! anything but the sight of another human being!!

publicity stunt or true accident-- who the heck cares? It's only a boob. Why is it so offensive?
Is the female body considered obscene?
Men can go topless without comment, but show one boob on t.v. and the world goes nuts.
just get over it already.
geez.
that is all for now, thank you.

I was more offended by Kid Rock wearing a flag as a poncho and the commercials with the farting horse and the monkey hitting on the guy's girlfriend, than the boob...

And I'm with ya. It bugs the hell out of me that an item on my body that I used to nourish my baby is "obscene". It's not "obscene" when it's got a little strap of silver bikini across it while it's on a "Silver Bullet" billboard, 60ft tall, though!

*eyeroll*

I agree with starrc, I had more problems with the flag "poncho". But I also remember that the great states were founded by puritans, so I am not really surprised that so many people had a problem with a boob. Think about our society? It's messed up as it is already.

But you are right, it was only a boob. Besides, I do believe it was covered because I distinctly remember seeing a flash of sparkly on a pastie.

Nah, it wasn't a pastie, it was a fancy nipple decoration. Looks quite painful, actually:

The Boob Zoomed (not necessarily suitable for work, be careful!)

I found the local CBS affiliate's statement uproarious. Mr Woerr wanted to reassure anybody 'distressed' by Mr Timberlake's actions. 'Distressed'? No, 'distressed' is when your car is suddenly swept away in a storm surge. I imagined people wailling and tearing at their hair - that's distressed. 'Bothered' might be more appropriate. But, at any rate. It's a breast. Most women have them (much like most women have feet), adjust. Wouldn't it be funny if a group of us went to Mr Woerr's office, showed him our breasts and said in unison 'it's okay - they don't bite' then walked out.

No kiddin'

I'm not surprised at the amount of attention, though I share your annoyance at it, but what gets me is the "outrage" over it. I mean no one was "outraged" when Lucy Lawless (Xenia) popped out of her top after singing The Star Spangled Banner at a baseball game. All anyone did was titter and say, "ooo! Look at that! (adolenct giggle)".

And I haven't heard word one about the lyrics that…wossname…PDiddy, wasn't it?…used during his time on stage…such things like "shooting my seed" and so forth (I had my T.V. on mute but the Closed Captioning on…got to read every oh-so delightful lyric). If anything was blantendly unappropriate for children/family audiences, it was that.

I believe that was Nellie, not Sean "P. Diddy" Combes... Puffy has a little more class than that, IMHO.
